Lori Pohm, DVM

Our Medical Director, Dr. Lori Pohm-Thorsen, received both her B.S. in Microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. Having met at Iowa State, Dr. Lori and Dr. Bob were bit by puppy love and got married before graduating.

In May of 1992, Dr. Lori and Dr. Bob moved to Glenwood Springs and purchased the practice All Pets Animal Hospital, which would later become known as All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital. While the clinic may have changed names and locations throughout the years, Dr. Lori’s pursuit of keeping with up-to-date medical practices has remained steadfast. She routinely attends continuing education seminars on both local and national levels to ensure the medical care she provides to her patients is current and progressive.

Over the years Dr. Lori has developed a passion for internal medicine cases. Her drive to piece together more puzzling aspects of an illness to come to a diagnosis has proven one of her greatest joys of veterinary medicine.

When not at the clinic, Dr. Lori seeks adventure and excitement with hobbies such as scuba diving, snowshoeing, skiing, and hiking as well as performing canine agility and training with her two Mallinois, Navarre and Felicity, and her Cavalier, Charisma. Her favorite hikes include West Maroon Pass of Colorado and the Kalalau Trail in Hawaii.
